Okay, I'm lucky to hear that from you. So, did you replace all the files with these from the patch? You have to copy everything from the patch into the installation folder of NFS PU. I just ask that because in your pictures it doesn't look like you have all the new files.

You are correct, some dials were not moving.

im using pu as is, the only thing i installed is the 'nglide compatible' option from 'fixmenu-patches'.
It swapped my exe.
Think it is the new enhanced patch

It's not recommended to use parts of this patch. And don't use fix-menu - as far as I know the files are still not up to date. Use the complete patch from the topic. The full bundle of files.
And it's not based on the enhanced patch, because enhanced version added some annoying changes.

No, it's not.
IPL at the moment sticks with 2012/2014 executables.

3.5 NoCD/Enhanced "DirectX compatible" = 2012 exec's
3.5 NoCD/Enhanced "nGlide compatible" = 2014 exec's

Now these are confusing names, IMHO, because all 4 exe's work in both DX and Glide mode (it's not the exe to determine the modality, it's the thrash driver used).

Yeah Martin, they're not up to date, but the problem is that the latest executable still doesn't pass the scan feature.
Supported exe's are currently those from 2000, 2012 and 2014.
Your latest 29.12.2015 version (I call it "2016" for simplicity) is wonderful, I'm very happy with it but I use it only off-line.

P.S.: to avoid misunderstandings, I'm not blaming anyone here Smile
I know that both IPL and PU have been upgraded, one sooner one later, thus the confusion about naming and latest versions.

Adding the latest version of the EXE appears to be on the to-do list for the next IPL version yup ! Smile

67 targa has a strange way of moving the rev meter needle, it never goes under the redline

Yes, that's true. But it's a general bug and not caused by this patch. Someone fixed this and I could add his fix into complete patch. But I need some time to check his files.

Just search for "NFS 5 Essentials".

I used Amir's reflection mod, but adjusted gamma intensity to make it less shiny.
Fixed damage model means that normally there is no damage model on CPUs faster than 2,1 GHz. It doesn't change anything on the windows. I like the original black damaged windows.

I haven't checked the Essentials to fix the needles of the 67 targa yet. I'm currently working on other games first.

Thanks for creating this Tuurngait, it's awesome!

I was wondering, since you seem to know a thing or two about hex editing...I'd really like to add the auto pricing, and auto-select repair overall things from the enhanced patch back into this one. I'd also REALLY love if I could somehow make it auto-brake after crossing the finish line, but still allow you to steer.

I won't be using this for online play, so you don't have to worry about another .exe floating around. I just want it for my own personal use Smile

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Sorry but these features won't be added to the complete patch. If you read back through the following topic, the consensus was not to add them: http://www.iplounge.net/ipl2/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2510

Yeah, I know they won't be added to the complete patch, and I totally understand why Smile

I was just curious if Tuurngait (or anyone else) knows enough about hex editing the .exe to add those two things to it for my own personal installation.

Thanks for the background though!

I could add this, but I won't. Sorry, I forgot the hex offsets after the long absence and I don't want to invest so much time again just to find them back and I really hated these "features" you mentioned.
