This Thread is to collect and hopefully try to realize the general users ideas/wishes for PU Layouts

So far taking the best ideas from Low/Chey layouts and a few users of this forum (that i thank) I've come to the follow:

Changes and improvements:

- One click car setup
- Player picture display
- 12 rows chat display box
- Cursor in chat input box after race or exit from car setup menu

Latest Changes:

- Changed a few menu items position
- Added a second "spot on" Ready button (Join layout)

#2

In case someone wants to give it a try here is the one with the chat input box above the chat display field.

#3

My latest (and probably last) one.

i dont like how the input line is to close to 'race' button, makes me a litle unsecure because im afraid to click it by mistake.

Thank You for sharing your work with us all for free Maz, and very good work it is Smile.

I think I'll stick with the June 5th version ( http://www.iplounge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8633#8633 ) for now as I like the "Chat typing" box placement a little better.

Thanks again Smile.

has anyone noticed that you not have to click in chat input to type after races?

Hmmm, I have not with the 6/5/2013 version.

Upon returning from a race, the cursor is in the chat typing field and I can type without left clicking chat input field.

this "feature" works only if the modified ChatInputBox.ctr is installed into 'FEData\Controls' folder.

ja isnt it great when things work.

Have just tryed the join layouts and i dont like the ready button being in bottom left.
Why put it there when there are plenty of room under the 'setup' button?

@karsten

info.txt file edited, ty

I thought and extra ready button in bottom left corner would be nice for the ones that race mods and make heavy use of car setup menu, you get back from there by moving your mouse in bottom left (back button), after this we usually say say gl and ready, button there is handy imho heheh

another possible place could be just below player picture, middle of the screen...

Any suggestion for buttons rearrange is welcome Smile

Hello Adri,

I've installed layout #2 (with chat box field in the middle) but i see problems with returning from car setup to lobby. There is a 8-10 secs delay. here is a video: LINK!!!

Will be very cool when you might find a solution for that.

Regards,

This is odd to me Mateusz because there isn't a delay for me. I tested this in both "Create" and "join" layouts, no delay in either for me using the #2 6/8/13 Version.

thank you for your feedback Dma,

Sadly I couldn't recreate this issue on my side, so I'm not sure what could be causing it.
does this happen all the time?
is the create layout affected as well?
is this happening with the #1 version too (chat input bottom screen) ?

could you try this one Dma? Smile
